DC Chargers can deliver faster charging to an EV because the battery in the car, van or truck stores the energy in a DC Battery. Charging in DC saves having to convert the electricty in the electric grid from AC to DC.
DC chargers range from Fast to Ultra Rapid speeds.
You can have as many DC chargers as you have supply available, 3 Phase energy is required.
Chargers with Energy Storage
Some providers supply battery backed up DC chargers these can supply DC charging speeds from 3-400kW.
The advantage is they can manage DC charging from constrained supplies even from Single Phase supplies, Off Grid, On Site Renewables and Guarantee Charging speeds.
You can have as many chargers as you have storage and supply for.
Mobile Chargers
Mobile Chargers typically charge as DC the most advanced of these chargers are battery backed and charge at up to 350kW speeds with some able to charge multiple vehicles simultaneously.
When empty the battery is rechargered from a grid or renewable source at Rapid speeds.
Mobile Chargers can be used for On Demand Charging, Vehicle Recovery and Disaster Recovery.
